Barbana is situated in the western part of Goriška Brda and is mentioned already in the 18th century as one of the best positions for the vine in Brda.
Our vineyards cover an area of four and a half hectares with Merlot, Sauvignon vert (Tokaj Friulano), Rebula and Malvasia. All together circa 12 acrs with circa 14800 vines in the age between 9 and 67 years.
Our philosophy of making wine is simple: We make it in the vineyards. Through a maximum of attention and research in the vineyards, this passion becomes a continuing growth and experience for us.
We use organic fertilizers and no herbicides. We work with the phases of the moon.
Since 2021 the entire winery is ecologically certified.
